Soup for noodles and stews (Tsuyu)

Soup stocks extracted from dried bonito flakes, kelp, shiitake mushrooms and other ingredients are called ‘dashi’ in Japanese cuisine. Our noodle and stew soups (Tsuyu soup) are produced using these dashi soup stocks and our factory-made soy sauce.

Tsuyu soups are often called “Mentsuyu” (Men is a Japanese word that means noodles). However, you can use them not only for making soup base for noodle dishes and stewed dishes, but also for making combined seasonings which add a final touch to any dish.

Tsuyu Soup Base (Bonito Flavor)

This is a flavorful and delicious Tsuyu soup base using the first dashi stock (Ichiban-dashi) extracted from dried soda bonito. You can use this concentrated soup for making various soups and dishes including dipping soup for chilled noodles as well as poring soup for warm noodles.

Tsuyu Soup Base (Bonito Flavor)

Grilled Flying Fish Tsuyu Soup Base

This is a concentrated tsuyu soup base which makes good use of excellent savory taste and fragrance of flying fish, dried frigate mackerel flakes and shiitake mushroom powder, using honjozo (genuine fermented) soy sauce as a base flavor.

This soup stock features its rich flavor derived from bonito and kelp. You can use it for cooking many dishes such as soup, rice porridge and Chawan-mushi (steamed egg custard).
